This is the image of the ramp onto the nearest bit of beach from Spindrift. In the winter, the pebbles can get quite steep, so the right kit is needed to get over them. Also, it is worth noting that the winter storms can strip the sand off this beach, leaving it quite rocky, and difficult to launch anything but the lightest boat, or just within a couple of hours of high tide. There is only a narrow channel to safely get out to sea from this bit of beach, at high tide it looks deceptively simple, but low tide reveals the true extent of the rocks off this bit of beach. So, perfect for a sailing boat, or a light rib.
